What UP Police Constable is

Who can apply
The qualification requirement is Class 12 (Intermediate) pass, or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Uttar Pradesh government. Candidates from other Indian states may apply, but reservation benefits and age relaxations under Uttar Pradesh’s own rules apply only to candidates holding Uttar Pradesh domicile. Physical standards are set separately by category and gender: height, chest measurement for male candidates, and minimum weight for female candidates, each with the usual relaxation for ST candidates and hill-area categories. How the exam runs
The written examination runs two hours and has one hundred fifty questions worth three hundred marks, across General Knowledge and Current Affairs, General Hindi, Numerical Ability, and Mental Aptitude/Reasoning. Candidates who clear the written stage proceed to the Physical Efficiency Test and Physical Standard Test, covering the qualifying run (4.8 km for male candidates, 2.4 km for female candidates, within the time limit the notification sets), long jump, high jump and the physical measurements themselves.
