What Agniveer Navy is
Agniveer Navy is the Indian Navy’s recruitment under the Agnipath scheme, covering Agniveer SSR (Senior Secondary Recruit, for technical branches) and Agniveer MR (Matric Recruit) categories. Like Agniveer Army and Agniveer Vayu, this is a four-year tour of duty, not a full-career enlistment, and it runs as its own separate recruitment cycle under the Navy’s own portal, distinct from the Army and Air Force intakes even though all three share the same scheme structure.
Who can apply
Agniveer SSR asks for a Class 12 pass with Mathematics and Physics. Agniveer MR asks for a Class 10 pass. Both categories run on the same age band: 17.5 to 21 years on the date of enrolment, and candidates must be unmarried. Confirm your own date of birth against the current cycle’s exact enrolment-date cutoff with the age calculator before applying, since the reference date the age band is measured against can shift between cycles.
How selection runs
Selection starts with Stage I, the INET (Indian Navy Entrance Test), a computer based test. Candidates who clear Stage I proceed to a written examination where applicable, the Physical Fitness Test, and the Recruitment Medical Examination. There is no interview stage; unlike the SSB process for an officer commission through NDA, Agniveer selection runs entirely on the written stages, physical fitness and medical standards.
Preparing the application

The application fee is five hundred fifty rupees plus 18 percent GST, payable online only.
On exam day
Carry the printed admit card and an original government photo identification matching the name and photo on the admit card. No electronic devices are permitted inside the examination centre.

The Army, Navy and Air Force each run their own Agniveer recruitment on their own calendar, with different eligibility streams and postings.
