Kuwait cooperative sector supervisor exam: 250 of 720 passed, interviews held

Kuwait’s Ministry of Social Affairs held the written examination for 90 financial-supervisor and administrative-supervisor posts in the cooperative sector on 22 August 2026, with 720 Kuwaiti candidates sitting across the financial-supervisor track (236 candidates) and the administrative-supervisor track (483 candidates).

The Ministry announced the result on 2 September 2026: 250 of the 720 candidates passed, clearing the required minimum 80 percent score on the written exam. That is a 55 percent pass rate on the financial-supervisor track (77 of 236) and a 58 percent pass rate on the administrative- supervisor track (173 of 483).

Interviews followed within three weeks

The Ministry moved quickly from written result to interview. On 23 September 2026, it announced personal interviews for 200 of the candidates who passed (55 on the financial-supervisor track, 145 on the administrative-supervisor track), held on 23 and 24 September before a specialised committee, the final step toward filling the 90 posts.

Why the process looks unusual

This exam is part of Kuwait’s “Kuwaitization” drive for cooperative-sector supervisory jobs, run through the Public Authority of Manpower’s “Our Pride” (Fakhrna) jobseeker platform rather than a standing civil-service recruitment board. The written exam itself is prepared and administered under a cooperation protocol with an accredited private university, which rotates round to round (the August 2026 round used the American University of Kuwait); both the written exam and the interview are audio and video recorded.
