What the INSS Tecnico do Seguro Social concurso is
The Instituto Nacional do Seguro Social (INSS) is the federal autarquia that runs the Regime Geral de Previdencia Social: it receives contributions from workers and employers, administers aposentadorias, auxilios and pensoes, and processes the beneficios by which the Brazilian State honours the previdencia contract. Banca and history of the certame
The last completed concurso, INSS 2022, was organised by the Centro Brasileiro de Pesquisa em Avaliacao e Selecao e de Promocao de Eventos (Cebraspe), with the prova objetiva applied in November 2022 and 1,000 vagas offered. Since then the INSS has filed a fresh authorisation request with the Ministerio da Gestao e da Inovacao em Servicos Publicos for a much larger recruitment, initially quoted as 8,500 vagas and later expanded in press coverage to 10,000, split between Tecnico and Analista. The authorisation is a political and fiscal step that precedes the edital: until it is granted and published in the Diario Oficial da Uniao, the number is a request, not a vinculating figure, and Cebraspe is a probable but not confirmed banca.
The two-phase structure
The INSS concurso runs as a prova objetiva followed by a curso de formacao and post-classification procedures. The 2022 objective test carried 120 items on the classic Cebraspe format of certo ou errado, with 50 items on Conhecimentos Basicos and 70 on Conhecimentos Especificos, applied over three hours and thirty minutes. Conhecimentos Basicos covered Lingua Portuguesa, Raciocinio Logico Quantitativo, Etica no Servico Publico, Nocoes de Informatica, Direito Administrativo and Direito Constitucional. Conhecimentos Especificos concentrated on the Regime Geral de Previdencia Social: Lei 8.213/1991 (planos de beneficios), Lei 8.212/1991 (custeio), Decreto 3.048/1999 (regulamento) and the Instrucao Normativa da Presidencia do INSS that consolidates the operational rules. The certo ou errado format is unforgiving: each wrong answer subtracts a full point from a right answer, so a candidate who marks every item at random averages zero. Cadastro de reserva and lotacao

The 2026 press coverage of the pending recruitment quotes a starting remuneracao around R$ 7,700 for Tecnico, combining vencimento basico, gratificacao de atividade executiva (GAE), gratificacao de desempenho (GDASS) and auxilio-alimentacao. Progression follows the plano de carreira of the Seguro Social, through classes and padroes, with the topo da carreira reaching well above the initial figure once gratificacoes and progressao vertical are counted. What candidates get wrong
Two mistakes dominate the failed provas of the INSS. The first is to study Direito Previdenciario as isolated leis rather than as an integrated system: Lei 8.213, Lei 8.212 and the Decreto 3.048 cross-reference each other on every carencia, on every regra de calculo do salario de beneficio, on every hipotese de cessacao de beneficio, and Cebraspe writes items that bounce between the three. The second is to ignore the format: on a certo ou errado prova a candidate who chases the corte by marking every item without conviction is subtracting points from the total. The espelho de correcao rewards a smaller number of well-defended answers, and preparation should include timed simulados on Cebraspe items to internalise which items to leave blank.
Preparing the application and on exam day
Inscription runs through the banca organizadora’s portal for the current edital. The site’s photo-resizer tool can bring a photograph to whatever specific dimensions the edital states, and its age-calculator confirms the minimum age of eighteen is met on the data-limite. On the day of the prova arrive at the local at least sixty minutes before the horario de fechamento dos portoes on the cartao de confirmacao. Carry the printed cartao, an original photo identification (RG, CNH or passaporte) matching the inscription, and a black ballpoint pen with a transparent barrel.
